Frequently asked questions
Getting started / what it is
What is Atrio, in one line?
Atrio is where your team's AI-built dashboards live — hosted at a private link, shared only with the people you choose. Think of it as the room the report sits in, with a lock on the door.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. If someone on your team can make a dashboard with an AI tool, they can host and share it in Atrio. There's no code, no servers to manage, and nothing to deploy.
What can I actually put in Atrio?
Any self-contained HTML dashboard an AI tool produces — charts, reports, tables, interactive views — plus, optionally, the underlying data behind it. If you can build it in Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini, you can host it in Atrio.
How is this different from just sharing a link from my AI tool?
Those links are all-or-nothing: anyone who gets the link sees everything, there's no way to say who's allowed, and the data usually can't come along safely. Atrio adds the part that's missing — named-people access, expiry, revoke, and control over whether the underlying data travels with the dashboard.
Sharing, access & control
Who can see a dashboard I share?
Exactly the people you decide. You can share to specific named people, to everyone in your organisation, or — if you choose — to anyone with the link. You set it per dashboard, and you can change or revoke access at any time.
What happens with an "anyone with the link" share?
It's deliberately limited: people opening a public link can see the dashboard, but never the underlying data and never the AI features. Full access — including the data — is only ever given to people whose identity you've verified. The open option is convenient but always the least powerful one, by design.
Can I share with people outside my company?
Yes. You can share to named external people (a client, a partner) and they get access without taking up a paid seat — external viewers are always free. You stay in control of what they can see.
Can I take access back after I've shared something?
Yes. Every share can be revoked instantly, and you can set links to expire automatically or require a password. Nothing you share is permanent unless you want it to be.
Can people edit or change my dashboard?
No. Sharing gives people a view, not the keys. Only members of your organisation with the right role can change or replace a dashboard.
The data & "Ask the data"
What does "the data rides along" mean?
When you attach the dataset behind a dashboard, people you've verified can ask plain-language questions about the numbers — right there in the viewer — instead of just looking at a static chart. It turns a report into something you can interrogate.
Who can ask questions of the data?
Only people whose identity you've verified and who you've given data access to. Someone opening a public link can look at the dashboard, but they can't reach the underlying data or the AI.
Is the AI always right about my numbers?
The AI answers from the data you attach and is designed to say so plainly when it isn't sure or when it can only see part of a large file. As with any AI, double-check anything critical — it's a fast way to explore your data, not a replacement for your own judgement.
Sending from your AI tool
How does sending a dashboard straight from Claude work?
You connect Atrio to your AI tool once. After that, you finish a dashboard and simply tell the AI to send it to Atrio — it's hosted and ready to share, with no exporting or copy-pasting. It's a one-time setup, then one command every time.
Which AI tools does it work with?
Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini. Claude currently handles even large, data-heavy dashboards end-to-end; the others work well for typical dashboards today.
Pricing & plans
How much does it cost?
Plans start at $29/month for a small team and are billed per organisation, not per person, so your pricing stays predictable as you grow. External viewers are always free and unlimited.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — 14 days, no card required. You can try the whole thing before deciding.
Do I pay for everyone who views a dashboard?
No. You only pay for members of your organisation who create and manage dashboards. The people you share with — inside or outside your company — are always free.
What happens when my trial ends?
Dashboards you've already shared keep working for the people you shared them with. To create or share new ones, you pick a plan. We don't break links that are already out in the world.
Security & trust
Is my company's data safe?
Security is the core of the product, not an afterthought. Data is stored privately, access is controlled by the permissions you set, and every action that touches data is recorded in an audit log. We don't show ads and we never sell your data. (See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.)
Can Atrio staff see our dashboards and data?
Access to customer content is restricted and limited to what's needed to operate the service and support you — for example, if you ask us to help with a problem. We don't browse, use, or sell your content. The specifics are set out in our Privacy Policy and terms.
Where is our data hosted?
On established cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest. If you have specific residency or compliance requirements, that's a conversation for our team on the Enterprise plan.
What happens to our data if we cancel?
You can export what you need, and after your account closes we delete or de-identify your content within a defined window, except where we're required to keep certain records. The details are in the Privacy Policy.
Do you comply with GDPR / privacy law?
We follow standard data-protection practice and provide the tools and terms needed to support compliance. For specific regulatory needs (data processing agreements, residency, certifications), talk to us about Enterprise.
